2024 Help Peru Gala highlights
A HUGE thank you to the entire Help Peru community for making the 11th Annual Help Peru Gala a resounding success! This year’s event sold out faster than ever before, and thanks to your generosity, we raised over $700,000! With over 240 attendees, it was an inspiring night dedicated to building a better future for Peru. Chris Price, our Executive Director, delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging the crowd to “triple down” on their efforts and to dream big! Chris said, “To paraphrase the late Senator Robert F. Kenedy: there are those who look at the world and only see hunger, poverty, disease, and injustice, and they raise their hands up and ask why? Friends, that’s not us, and that’s not Help Peru! We look at the world and dream of what can be, and we raise our hands up high and declare why not! We dream of a more educated, healthy, and prosperous Peru, where everyone has the opportunity to build a better future – regardless of where they live, the color of their skin, or whom they love. So tonight, I want you to raise your paddles up high, raise them often and dream of the Peru that can be… join me in saying, why not! say it with love, why not! say it for Peru, why not! because I know, we all know…Juntos Podemos!”The Help Peru community certainly rose to the occasion, achieving a record-breaking $230,000 in pledged donations.
