Our Programs

Help Peru strives to ensure sustainable development throughout the country. Our programs are implemented in the three main regions of Perú: the central and north coast, the central and south Andes, and the Amazon region.

We believe in building community resilience to ensure long-term, sustainable development. We do this by working in collaboration with local, trusted nonprofit organizations. Our support includes funding but equally as important training, technical assistance, and monitoring and evaluation. This approach allows us to ensure that all our programs are developed following a participatory methodology and implemented in a culturally sensitive manner.

Our programmatic approach typically starts with one of three community entry points: education, health, or the environment. Over time, we work with our partners to define and incorporate additional thematic work to achieve an integrated approach to community development. We view climate change, women’s empowerment, and gender equity as transversal themes and require that all our projects incorporate actions that address these critical topics. Our program portfolio works to ensure that we are addressing the life cycle of the vulnerable populations we serve, from early childhood education to workforce development.
