Kunan: Social entrepeneurship for the transformation of the country
As part of our commitment to promoting philanthropy and innovation in Peru, Help Peru proudly sponsors the Kunan Challenge Grand Prize, the country’s top recognition for high-impact social enterprises.
The award recognizes and promotes social enterprises that stand out for being innovative, scalable, and sustainable, and together with them promote a culture of management and measurement of social impact in such initiatives.
Kunan is a national platform that drives, integrates, and inspires the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Peru, with the aim of positioning it as an effective tool for social transformation in the country. The organization was established in 2014 and is currently the social entrepreneurship unit of “Peru Sostenible,” representatives of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development in Peru. Kunan works in four main lines of action: commercial channels for social enterprises of the Kunan Network; spaces and networking; resources and content to promote social enterprises; and high impact, developing awards to identify social enterprises with high impact potential.
Through our partnership, we focus on empowering environmental social enterprises—helping them scale their impact, strengthen their business models, and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable Peru.
