| INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY Help Peru recognizes and applauds the contributions and efforts of women across the globe to build a more just, equitable, peaceful, and healthy world. As an international nonprofit community development organization, we believe that women must be at the center of the development process in order to achieve lasting sustainable change. We do this by ensuring all our programs, regardless of their specific focus area, include initiatives that address women’s empowerment and gender equity. Help Peru’s programs focus on providing opportunities in three critical thematic areas. Today, we will highlight one of these: the environment, more specifically, climate change.
