Help Peru is pleased to help amplify Mistura, a Peruvian film produced by Ivan Orlic and directed by Ricardo de Montreuil, now reaching audiences in the United States.
Opening this Friday, May 8, in Los Angeles, San Rafael, and San Diego, Mistura brings a Peruvian story to the big screen through themes of resilience, identity, food, and cultural pride.
Set in 1960s Lima, the film follows Norma, a French-Peruvian woman who, after being pushed out of elite society, finds unexpected purpose through Peru’s vibrant culinary traditions and the people who help her reconnect with the country’s cultural identity.
At Help Peru, we believe in celebrating initiatives that elevate Peru’s stories, talent, and diversity. We are glad to support the visibility of a film that brings Peruvian culture to new audiences abroad.
