Program Highlights D1Francis is 19 years old and tells us: “My daily life has changed a lot since I joined the PFI (program of D1); my routine is now based on waking up early and training early to be the dancer I want to become. The program has given me great benefits, the learning obtained, and the information provided in each class; I have learned a lot about trusting myself, trusting my process, and developing myself in every social setting I find myself in. I am in a process that allows me to train as an artist and as a person to communicate to the world that through art, we can say a lot. Through dance, we can change the world and make it better. I am grateful to the people who supported me during that long journey, especially the people of D1 who could take care of us and fill us with learning.” ANIA Milan is 9 years old and likes to participate in the TiNi garden project: “It helps us raise awareness since childhood, caring for the environment; also allows us to create and arouse curiosity about plants, their care, and classifying the trash; how easy it is to make compost from home, thus continuing helping nature. In addition, I plant vegetables in the TiNi, and I can improve my nutrition.” Socios en Salud (Partners in Health) Rubi is the mother of a 10-month-old baby who participates in the Casita Project, which Partners in Health implements in Ventanilla. She tells us: “My baby is already speaking some words and crawling; she’s even trying to stand on her own. I have been able to participate in the achievements of my baby.” She believes that participating in the project requires effort and commitment, but “I really recommend it; it teaches you a lot… how important it is to have a lot of love for your children, to be able to understand them and know what they want, and what they need.” Thank you to everyone who has supported Help Peru’s mission.
