ANIA Association for Children and their Environment: Empowering Children through Climate Change adaptation education project

Since 1995, ANIA has been working to foster empathy for life in new generations through regular and positive contact with nature.

This project employs Ania’s innovative “TiNi” methodology (organic school/community gardens) that enhances children’s physical and mental health wellbeing while building teamwork, research/inquiry, and communication skills in three regions of the country, Lambayeque, Junín and Lima. Around 2,000 children and 130 teachers who participate in the project activities gain useful knowledge and skills regarding climate change adaptation and the environment. The project indirectly benefits an additional 40,600 people (family members, neighbors, visitors to the project sites, and volunteers)
